BI Analyst/Developer
This is an exciting role working with BI tools as part of a wider ERP solution. The role will be responsible for ongoing development of my clients Business Intelligence infrastructure. It will involve ongoing use, monitoring and development of Business Intelligenceusing the Azure Analytics Stack. It will involve capturing business analytics requirements, developing automated solutions and providing end-user training.

Main Duties/Activities:
Business Intelligence

  • As a BI Analyst you will be using exciting tools such as PowerBI, SSAS and other products in the Microsoft Suite.
  • You will be working closely with your team members to visualise large amounts of data through PowerBI dashboards and build reports
  • You will liaise with business stakeholders, solution architects and project managers to ensure viable Business Intelligence solutions are delivered.
  • Take responsibility for modification and development of reports, queries, analytics, analysis cubes, and business intelligence.
  • Coordinate with the SME's and department heads to deliver technical solutions and enable data discovery.
  • Capture analytics requirement
  • Monitor and develop Azure Data Factory Pipelines
  • Develop and maintain the Azure Analysis Services Tabular Model
  • Develop the Data Warehouse in Azure SQL Server further through integration of data from other source systems
  • Ensure sufficient controls are created, maintained, and reviewed for data governance to maintain the Business Intelligence solution as the one source of truth.
  • Continuously learn and develop to keep up with the fastpaced changes in analytics and Business Intelligence.
  • Ensure that the Azure data catalogue is maintained and accessible for those requiring access.
  • Provide written documentation and operating manuals where required. Keep accurate records of technical architectures, testing, decisions made and management processes.
  • Provide technical business support, to include fault finding, diagnosing and fixing bugs.
  • Test and manage systems to ensure they are operating reliably.
  • Assist 3rd party support and service teams with troubleshooting, support and system upgrades

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience in a Business Intelligence Role
  • Strong working experience with any of the following PowerBI/SSAS/SQL
  • Developing insights and dashboards using visualization tools
  • Knowledge off, or experience in the use of Azure Data Catalogue
  • ERP System implementation or integration experience
  • An understanding of D365 execution or another ERP system.
  • Good Working Knowledge of Power BI Including DAX.
  • Strong experience of using Azure Data Factory for ETL processing in addition to working with Azure SQL Databases
  • Experience of using Bus Matrix and other analytic templates for developing data models.
  • 2+ years' experience in a similar Business Intelligence Role
