DC personnel are currently looking to hire a Trainee Machinist for our client based in Leicester LE11

Working hours are:
Monday - Friday. 6am - 2pm and 2pm - 10pm (rotating)

Overtime is optional and available during the week (paid at 1.3x basic rate) and on Saturday's (paid at 1.5x basic rate)

Pay rate:
£ £12.50 an hour depending on experience

Main Tasks

  • Operate Press Brake; including machine setup, selecting tooling, safety checks. Machine programming training can be provided.
  • Use of various hand tools and sheet metal machinery in the fabrication and finishing of materials (training will be provided).
  • Executing works orders to the required specified quality, accuracy and defined output rate.
  • Quality Assurance of components and finished goods by inspection of own work and others. Completion of associated documentation.
  • Maintain working area to a high level of housekeeping.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Operating a Press Brake.
  • Knowledge of LVD and Amada Brake Press ideal
  • Good level of numeracy.
  • Able to read technical drawings and perform measurements.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Workshop and production health & safety practices.
