As a Demand Planner, you have a crucial role in steering the supply chain to support global business growth. Your main responsibility is to act as the key link for commercial partners, ensuring a harmonious balance between commercial/consumer needs and supply capacity. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Demand Forecasts and Management:

  • Create precise demand forecasts for a 1 to 2-year period, using Excel tools and incorporating the latest consumption rates.
  • Ensure demand plans accurately reflect scheduled marketing activities, product launch timings, and promotions.
  • Work closely with marketing teams to assess the potential impact of commercial investments on demand.
  • Compare and report on the accuracy of past demand plans and sales forecasts at a detailed SKU and customer level.

Supply Signal Conversion and Inventory Optimization:

  • Translate forecasts into actionable supply signals, providing recommendations at the item level and flow strategies to maximize product availability while optimizing cash and inventory.
  • Provide insights into stocking policies and oversee supply readiness and inventory risks, especially during promotional and new selling periods.
  • Proactively address and communicate supply-related issues to stakeholders, ensuring alignment across departments.

Continuous Enhancement:

  • Conduct root cause analyses and formulate action plans to continually enhance forecast accuracy and supply performance.
  • Prepare relevant supply chain materials for Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings, facilitating data-driven decision-making.
  • Initiate process and system enhancements to improve integrated planning capabilities and efficiency.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of 3 years of demand planning experience, demonstrating a history of enhancing performance through continuous improvement initiatives. Experience in implementing S&OP demand review or new forecasting tools is beneficial.

Education:

Hold a Bachelor's degree or possess equivalent experience. A-Level Mathematics (or equivalent) is desirable.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficient in MS Excel, with familiarity with PowerBI/SQL being advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, paying close attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with demand planning concepts, tools, and methodologies.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of collaborating across various departments.
  • Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and deliver results promptly.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to influence stakeholders at different levels.
