Job summary

A permanent part time position has arisen for a motivated individual to join our innovative and proactive Community Hospital Team in the IV Suite/Outpatients Department to provide skilled, clinical and effective care. The successful individual should be able to demonstrate reliability, and commitment to providing a high standard of patient care.

The IV Suite / Outpatients department provide a variety of care supporting patients to receive treatment and hospital appointments/procedures without the hospital inpatient stay. Supporting the minor operation clinics is a key role in this position and full training in procedures will be given.

We are looking for an experienced or newly qualified motivated and enthusiastic registered nurse to join our team to help provide skilled, clinically effective care using best practice. This post in an exciting opportunity for a trained nurse to develop and build skills within a continually developing learning environment.

Main duties of the job

Assess, plan, implement and evaluate, programmes of evidenced based IV therapy. Manages care needs of a clinical area within the department as delegated by Nurse in charge . Work collaboratively and co-operatively with colleagues and other agencies to meet the needs of emergency and IV therapy patients and their families. Provides knowledge and clinical skills in assisting with the provision of emergency care and IV therapy. Required to respond to rapidly changing situations as Unit is increasingly under pressure, if so added responsibility will be placed on the individual.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
