A vacancy has become available for a Depot Manager / Engineering Manager at a busy London bus garage paying a basic salary of £72,500 per annum + benefits.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Planning and managing the vehicle maintenance and repair function to obtain maximum utilisation of the resources available.
  • Responsibility for the leadership, motivation, performance management, learning development and discipline of the local Engineering team.
  • Ensuring all Engineering staff commit and comply with Health & Safety.
  • Ensuring all vehicles provided for operation comply with the standards set
  • Working within allocated budget to guarantee that stores hold adequate material supplies in line with the workshop requirements, as well as proactively reviewing and implementing risk assessments and systems of safe practice as required.
  • Demonstrable previous experience in a senior, supervisory or engineering management remit is essential – Preferably within transport with a knowledge of PSV vehicles
  • In addition to meticulous time management and planning, with the ability to make rational decisions under pressure.


The successful candidate will ideally come from the PSV / PCV / HGV sector and have previous experience in a Senior Management capacity.

You will hold an industry recognised qualification and ideally have a minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a similar role.

You should have a thorough understanding of mechanical engineering and vehicle maintenance procedures for HGV / PSV / PCV / Bus / Coach.
