Established in 2002, Greenhouse Sports charity is leading the fight for a future where young people are supported and empowered, whatever their challenges, through sport.

We coach and mentor young people from deprived backgrounds because the crisis for children living in deprivation is real and it is urgent.

Our magic is the Greenhouse coach, sports coach, trained mentor and role-model combined.

Over the last 2 decades these coaches have worked with more than 50,000 secondary school children in London to help them fulfil their potential.


In 2020 we expanded our delivery beyond London for the first time, launching a programme of work to support children earlier in their lives at primary school.

This expansion of services is critical to meeting the needs of young people growing up in poverty today, and we are committed to continue expanding these services in the years to come.


The Person


4.3 million children are growing up in poverty right now across the UK, and that number is only set to rise.

Are you passionate about bringing them opportunities to achieve better results, better jobs and better futures? Are you organised, detail oriented and ambitious to develop your events fundraising career within an established team, helping Greenhouse Sports to reach thousands more young people?

If your answer is yes, then our new Events Officer role could be for you

The Role


Events are a vital part of our income at Greenhouse Sports, raising c.£1.5m each year from high value major events through to supporter led challenge events.

The main purpose of this role is to support the Events team in the planning and execution of the major events and to take ownership of challenge events and community based fundraising.


You will also enjoy the variety of working closely with the wider Fundraising team offering some administrative support to ensure the team works effectively and supporters are successfully stewarded.


A flexible approach with a mix of home and office working our offices are based in the heart of Marylebone, London.
