Civil Engineer Job Description:

The Civil Engineer will work in a dynamic team, leading the engineering aspects of infrastructure projects in the development sector.

Responsibilities include site assessment, design of highways, sewer systems, and flood risk management infrastructure from conception to completion.

Applicants should hold a Civil Engineering Degree and relevant professional qualifications or be working towards obtaining them.


Civil Engineer Person Specification:

The role involves office-based tasks along with managing client relationships, providing fee quotes, and meeting project deadlines independently.

You will collaborate with a team of engineers, land surveyors, and building surveyors to deliver high-quality results.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of an HNC/HND or degree in Civil Engineering, along with experience in drainage design and relevant software applications.


  • Skills and Requirements:
  • Ability to produce drainage designs for various development projects.
  • Proficiency in drainage network modeling and road design software.
  • Familiarity with regulations from governing bodies like Highways England and the Environment Agency.
  • Experience in interpreting geo-technical reports for drainage design purposes.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil3D, and/or Causeway PDS software.
  • Competency in conducting Flood Risk Assessments.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence.
