_ Our Purpose_


This is great opportunity to lead a new and exciting new pilot initiative for our Healthy Weight Healthy Lives - Children and Families programme, across a targeted selection of our local children and their families.

The aim will be to provide holistic support for children and their families, delivering an attainable peer model to support those engaged to attain a healthy weight and wider healthier lives, also considering the wider determinants of health and health inequalities that can inhibit people from being able to make positive lifestyle changes.


_Your Role_


As this is a pilot and initially only one year's funding there will also be an emphasis on building essential research through gathering data, intelligence and insight to inform future practice.

It will also endeavour to and pull together wider services and support to help form fluid pathways of support, helping to avoid replication and identify further gaps.


This role will be supported by a Wellbeing worker, that will provide essential support to both plan and deliver the service.

The service will be overseen by a multi-agency steering group to provide you with the support and guidance you may need to deliver an effective service within a key public health issue.

This will sit within our established Wellbeing Service and link with our other pilot programme for Healthy Weight-Healthy Lives

  • Maternity and our school nursing team
- all within the Public Health Directorate of Northeast Lincolnshire Council.

_About You_


We are looking for people who are dynamic and enthusiastic with a high level of autonomy, excellent communication skills, able to work on your own initiative and as part of a dynamic team.

You must have proven experience of excellent listening and communication skills and understand empathy, unconditional positive regard and client autonomy is key to effective and positive support of our programmes and their development.

  • Health promotion principles and practice or delivering programmes that are based on a motivational coaching ethos.
  • Supervisory and management experience.
  • Effectively manage projects to include monitoring, evaluation and communicating findings to key stakeholders.
  • Experience of working with children and families.
  • Support and encourage behaviour change in the areas of healthy eating and physical activity, weight management, mental and emotional wellbeing and connecting with others.
  • Act as an attainable peer to facilitate client group to feel at ease and feel they can be supported holistically to mee their respective needs?
  • If you have the passion to make a difference, and experience in any of the above areas, you may be a great fit for this role_
