This is achieved by working closely with our stakeholders including our in-house designers to produce proposals, and proactively engaging with local authority case officers to ensure we drive forward decision making.

We have already managed to achieve a scale that is unprecedented in our industry; a traditional architect completes on average 10 projects a year, we complete 1,500, and our mission is to deliver Happy Homes on a national scale.


The Key Responsibilities of Our Planners:

  • Provide high quality advice to our in-house designers and architects to ensure that development meets local and national policies and guidance
  • Provide advice to our inhouse consultants regarding early project feasibility and risks
  • Act as the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders, triaging communication and allocating actions as necessary
  • Ensuring timely & proactive correspondence with Local Planning Authorities to maximise chances for successful planning outcomes
  • Identify ways to improve engagement and relationships with Local Planning Authorities
  • Work with Planning colleagues to manage and process decisions
  • Manage the client experience by keeping clients updated at key stages of the planning process
  • Undertake analysis of performance, as required, to ensure an outstanding planning service
We are looking for the following skills and experience:

  • A minimum of 9 months Development Management experience in a London-based local planning authority
  • Commercially minded
  • Highly organised and good project management skills, with the ability to manage different workstreams
  • Comfortable with receiving feedback, and comfortable with both challenging and being challenged
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and comfortable being clientfacing
  • Customer minded.

You will also need to be:

  • Excited about working in a fast-paced startup environment, and combining this with confidence and ability in your planning knowledge
  • Hungry for onjob learning and development
  • Keen to learn about the wider construction and development industry.
