Job Title: Student SupportLocation: BodminSalary: £77 – 85 Per dayJob Duties: Provide support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in a classroom setting.Assist the lead teacher in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) for students.Support students with their academic, social, and emotional development.Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.Collaborate with teachers and parents to monitor student progress and adjust support as needed.Required Qualifications:

  • A relevant qualification in education or special educational needs.
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Education: A degree or equivalent qualification in Education, Special Educational Needs, or a related field.Experience: Previous experience working in a similar role within an educational setting.Knowledge and Skills:
  • Understanding of SEN support strategies and techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a caring attitude towards students.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Additional training in specific areas of SEN, such as autism or speech and language difficulties.
  • Certification in safeguarding children.
Working Conditions:
  • The role may involve some physical activity, such as assisting students with mobility issues.
  • Working hours may vary depending on the school's schedule and events.
  • The position may require occasional attendance at parent-teacher meetings or training sessions outside of normal working hours.
