The Functional Genomics Screening Laboratory Lead is a brand-new role at the Milner Therapeutics Institute (MTI).
In collaboration with AstraZeneca and the Medical Research Council, the MTI is establishing a Functional Genomics Screening Laboratory, which will enable academia and pharma to collaborate and generate data that moves the understanding of genetic mechanisms underlying tissue homeostasis and disease forward using high-throughput arrayed CRISPR screening approaches.
This role will manage the team hired to run this state-of-the-art laboratory.The role holder will work with the AstraZeneca Team Lead and a Joint Steering Committee to oversee a project pipeline drawn from applications across the UK.
This role will manage a small team of postdoctoral researchers and will be responsible for the timely delivery of research projects, which will include input into project design and oversight of project management and delivery.
