Join our team as an Assistant Chocolatier


At York's Chocolate Story guests can discover the stories behind the greatest names in chocolate, unwrap the secrets of chocolate making and even learn the art of the chocolatier for themselves.

Over three floors of interactive exploration, visitors journey through the city where chocolate made history.


We are pleased to announce this exciting opportunity to assist our Chocolatiers in delivering informative, high quality chocolate demonstrations which excite and entertain our attractions guests.

In addition, you will have the opportunity to train in the art of chocolate making and assist in the creation of our fresh chocolate range.

You will have a catering background, strong knowledge of food hygiene procedures and a desire to work with chocolate.

An excellent communicator, you will have the ability to engage an audience and convey information in an entertaining yet professional manner.

Experience in patisserie, chocolate making or cake decoration is also desirable.

Contract:

The contract is for a minimum of 24 hours per week (more hours may be available) with full time hours available throughout the half-term holidays, which the applicant must be available for.

It is a permanent contract. Some evening work may be required. As a tourist attraction, Weekend work will be highly likely.

Salary:
£9.60 per hour - Due to increase in April 2023
