What you'll be doing:
- Lead the delivery of Preconstruction projects and their transition into Construction Contracts for Balfour Beatty Regional Civils Works
- Manage two-stage pre-construction and tender activities ensuring they align with health and safety, budget requirements, and customer priorities
- Formulate and implement pre-construction strategies to deliver projects and convert them into construction contracts
- Identify and manage project risks and opportunities effectively
- Liaise with customers, respond to queries, and act as the main contact for bid and pre-construction processes
- Convert 2-stage opportunities into on-site delivery projects
Who we're looking for:
- Previous experience in the civil engineering or construction industry
- Results-oriented individual with strong risk management and profit understanding
- Team player with high standards and quality-driven mindset
- Ability to manage multiple bids and teams simultaneously
- Strong negotiator with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Customer-focused with a knack for identifying value opportunities
- Willingness to travel regionally and nationally
