There is an exciting opportunity within the Retail outlets at Pilgrim Hospital for the position of a Retail Catering Section Leader.


We provide a busy service for staff, Patients and Visitors during the week and require a motivated individual that is able to work both as part of a team and on their own initiative.

Any out of hours work including bank holidays and weekends will be paid at the Trusts enhanced pay rate.

Place of work within retail catering services at Lincoln County Hospital, Lincoln.

2 posts - this will include regular weekend and weekday mix of hours - to be agreed at interview

  • Controlling stock levels
  • Ordering stock and input to cost efficiency process
  • Organising and supervising staff
  • Quality control
  • Managing staff rotas, absence, appraisal and core learning
  • Reporting faults
  • Serving customers and dealing with any issues that may arise
  • Cash Handling
  • Food handing (serving food, preparing food)
  • Have a good knowledge and awareness of allergen control and alternative dietary requirements.
  • Assist with the menu creation ideas.

Louth Hospital is set on the edge of the Wolds and serves the communities of Louth and the local area.

It provides a number of services, including an outpatient department, diagnostic and surgical procedures, as well as a surgical ward.
