Following a successful interview and pending suitability, safeguarding and identity checks, we will work to secure you a paid placement in a school to further develop your skills.

We will help you to develop your identity as an educator, catering to age and need preferences as well as areas you travel to and hours you work - we aim to be flexible where possible.


Prior to starting your placement, you will be required to complete a comprehensive training programme delivered by Vision for Education and school leaders, which will give you the essential skills you need to work as a Teaching Assistant.

Although unqualified, you will be provided with up-to-date, in-depth knowledge of behaviour management, SEND, safeguarding and child protection to give you the confidence to start your placement, and complete it to a high standard.

The role of a teaching assistant varies from each school.

You may be working to support the teacher during whole class teaching, running small group interventions to support children or working on a 1:1 basis to ensure the needs of all children are meet and that they can thrive.

This is an opportunity for practical, hands-on experience to start your career in education.

Requirements:

To be considered for the role of Unqualified Teaching Assistant you will:

  • Be committed to completing the required training and participating in ongoing CPD.
  • Be willing to pay for an enhanced DBS check and register with the Update Service.
  • Are 18 years old or above.
  • You come from a caring profession or role working with children.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.

The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

- completion of safeguarding checks and additional training.
