Job Description What your new role will entail**:
You will be joining a market leading, experienced infrastructure planning team and will, be given the following responsibilities.

  • Carrying out planning research and analysis and assist with the identification of planning risk.
  • Liaising with the Environmental Impact Assessment team.
  • Contribution to the preparation of successful commercial tenders.
  • Assisting with project management and implementing quality and health and safety principles.
  • Participating in internal and external meetings

AECOM's Town Planning Practice is recruiting Consultant Planners to help deliver our existing portfolio of projects and a pipeline of projects, across a range of sectors, principally delivering large scale infrastructure.


As a national team, we are flexible in terms of base office location across our
offices in Basingstoke, Bristol, Croydon and Birmingham.

You will be able to work on a range of prestigious infrastructure projects for our clients in the energy transition, rail and water development sectors, as well as a range of regional and local developments.

Qualifications Here's what we will need from you**- Licentiate Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or an equivalent professional town planning organisation and working towards full accreditation.

  • Commercial awareness and the ability to write clearly and concisely.
  • Sound knowledge of UK planning policy and legislation.
  • Client focused with good interpersonal skills and collaborative working approach with a high level of commitment to quality.
  • Able to work to tight deadlines.
  • An understanding of Environmental Impact Assessment legislation.
  • Experience of working in collaborative, multidisciplinary teams.
  • Identifying, evaluating and managing planning risk.
