About the Company:
Commercial Talent Solutions collaborates with a leading construction firm in the North East of England, renowned for delivering top-quality construction solutions for national water projects. They have a strong pipeline of projects ensuring long-term stability and growth
Seeking professionals across the commercial spectrum, from Assistant Quantity Surveyors to Managing Quantity Surveyors, applicants from various sectors like civil infrastructure, energy, or residential are welcomed.
Main Responsibilities:
- Work closely with site/project managers and stakeholders to grasp project requirements
- Create precise cost estimates for water sector projects
- Source materials, subcontractors, and services ensuring cost-effectiveness
- Monitor project budgets and costs throughout the project lifecycle
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and manage risks efficiently
- Negotiate subcontractor and supplier contracts
- Conduct regular site visits for progress evaluation and contract compliance
- Provide accurate financial reports and forecasts
- Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulations, and company policies
- Holder of a Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
- Demonstrated Quantity Surveyor experience in construction, ideally focusing on Water, Civil Infrastructure, or M&E
- Thorough understanding of construction contracts, procurement, and cost management
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proficient in relevant software tools
- Detail-oriented with high accuracy level
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
