What you'll be responsible for:

  • Provide an efficient and effective comprehensive administrative support to the team / service.
  • Provide administrative support to meetings as requested and to ensure follow up action is completed. Producing notes of meetings, setting up meetings, preparing agendas, ensuring that a bring forward system of paperwork is maintained to ensure correspondence / information is available for meeting's.
  • Maintain diaries of the Wider Team
  • Provide secretarial support to members of the team utilising a high level of IT skills to produce quality documentation to support the work of the team.
  • Receive, log and respond to referrals for the Community Team. Be knowledgeable of the referral pathway in order to advice referrers and triage enquiries.

The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above.

You'll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

  • An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS.
  • Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times.
  • A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation.

You'll have the following skills/experience:

  • Must be MS Office IT literate.
  • Experience on an IP Ward is an advantage
  • Able to prioritise work from a large Multidisciplinary Team
  • Previous admin/NHS experience (desirable)
  • Excellent communication skills

This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years administration experience.
