Job Overview

Skin diseases affect a significant percentage of the population and a considerable amount of GP consultations pertain to skin issues. Dermatology mainly involves outpatient services. Trainees will gain experience working under the guidance of a consultant. Responsibilities include attending outpatient clinics, conducting skin surgeries, addressing urgent patient needs, overseeing in-patient care, participating in ward rounds when necessary, and managing associated administrative tasks proficiently and promptly.

Main Job Duties

  • The clinic rotations can vary, encompassing general, specialized, and surgical clinics alongside administrative periods.
  • As part of the Dermatology team, there are general practice trainees and a foundation year academic trainee present at all times. Trainees follow a designated schedule but collaborate to ensure adequate coverage for clinics and workload.
