Implementing an educational pathway purposefully designed for SDEC.

Same Day Emergency Care Unit (SDEC) is part of the Emergency Services Division. The SDEC is a 20-trolley space providing care for all speciality patients for the trust.

The unit is operational 24 hours per day, 7 days a week and is designed to facilitate rapid assessment and investigation of speciality patients referred from GP, NHS 111, London Ambulance Service, and the Emergency department.

Our Urgent Treatment Centre for minor injuries and illnesses is also part of the SDEC.


Those who need hospital admission are streamed to either The Acute Medical Unit or specialist wards in the Trust or externally.


Based in the busy West End of London, we have a lively and vibrant working atmosphere, with quick and easy transport links.
