Recovery and Anaesthetics Practitioner (ODP) - Temporary Position:

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Recovery and Anaesthetics Practitioner (ODP) to join our team at King's Park Hospital in Stirling, South Scotland.

This is a temporary position with a start date of 20/02/2024 and an end date of 20/02/2024.

Your Role:


As a Recovery and Anaesthetics Practitioner (ODP), you will play a crucial role in the perioperative care of our patients.

You will work closely with our anaesthetists and surgeons to ensure a safe and smooth recovery for patients after surgery.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing the recovery area, ensuring it is clean, organized, and fully equipped with the necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Assisting with the induction and maintenance of anaesthesia.
  • Monitoring patients' vital signs, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the recovery process.
  • Assessing patients' level of pain and administering appropriate pain relief medication.
  • Providing postoperative education and support to patients and their families.

Your Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following:

  • A valid ODP qualification and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Previous experience working as a Recovery and Anaesthetics Practitioner (ODP) in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of anaesthesia techniques, equipment, and medications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide compassionate and patientcentered care.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and staying uptodate with the latest advancements in anaesthetics.

Working Hours and Compensation:

This is a temporary position with a shift start time of 07:30:00 and a shift end time of 18:00:00. You will be paid a competitive rate of £304.82 per shift.

Location:

King's Park Hospital is located on Polmaise Road in Stirling, South Scotland. Our modern facility is equipped with the latest technology and is easily accessible by public transportation.
