An excitingopportunity has arisen for a Clinical Team Manager to work within the CommunityDental Service which covers South Tyneside, Sunderland and Gateshead.
This excitingrole sits within the Community Division of South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Trust.The Clinical Team Manager will have responsibility for the overall managementand development of the nursing team including the Oral Health team. Thesuccessful candidate will ensure there is a safe culture within the department,ensuring staff are supported and patients receive an excellent standard ofcare. They will provide visible, compassionate leadership across all clinicalareas working with team members and partners to maintain and improve theservice. The successful candidate will be a good role model to all displayingthe Trusts values and behaviours in their every day work.
This vacancy will be suitable for a Dental Practice Manager.
Main duties of the job
The successfulcandidate will be a GDC/NMC/HCPC registered professional, they will understandCommunity services and have an awareness of issues and challenges facingCommunity services and the Community Dental service.
The ClinicalTeam Manager will be accountable forthe overall management and development of the service, they will deploy andsupervise staff and ensure the coordination of services provided, optimisingthe cost effective use of all resources. They will have overall accountabilityand responsibility for the delivery of all aspects of patient care through theprovision of effective clinical and managerial leadership.
The post holderwill require excellent communication skills in order to build relationshipswith colleagues, patients and wider partners. Previous experience of leadingand managing teams is preferential as well as the desire to continually developservices to order improve safety and standards.
