The role
- Keep uptodate with what is happening in fashion both online and retail world, presenting findings to the Buyer and Directors, in order to further develop your product skills
- Supporting the Buyer on purchase of goods UK and Internationally.
- Assisting the tracking of expected stock, delivery dates, outstanding order amounts and 'new in' samples and communicate this to the appropriate departments.
- Prepare and arrange sample for fitting and stock for photo shoots and product releases.
- Assist with any performance analysis required from the Buyer.
- Contribute commercial ideas and views, adding value to decisions made by the team
- Maintain the sample library.
- Competitor and fashion trend research.
- Ad Hoc Admin Duties
Key attributes/ skills required:
- Fashion based degree or 2 years relevant experience.
- Have experience within a Buying team.
- Ability to work on your own initiative.
- Work well in a team but can also strive in individual tasks
- Highly organized with excellent time keeping skills.
- Excellent communication skills
- Good at multitasking.
- Computer literate excel required.
- Excellent organisation skills.
- Excellent communication/negotiation skills.
- Passionate about fashion.
- Confident working with numbers.
