Justice Support Worker – Male Only*
Location: South Lanarkshire / Glasgow (Hybrid working – home and hub)
Hours: 1 x Full-time position per week

Sacro's mission is to provide transformative services that empower individuals, offer hope and protection, and contribute to creating safe communities.
An exciting new opportunity has emerged within our newly established Pre and Post-release throughcare service.
The service aids short-term inmates at HMP Addiewell in reintegrating into their local community. We take a public health approach to justice, promoting recovery and community integration. By employing assertive outreach, you will help individuals in their communities to expand their support system and social connections.
The service targets individuals from South Lanarkshire dealing with substance misuse issues. We collaborate with South Lanarkshire ADP, Housing Services, HMP Addiewell, and various other remarkable third-sector organizations.
You will support the daily operations of the service under the guidance of the Team Leader and Community Justice Manager. Your responsibilities will include assessing and providing appropriate assistance to service users, encompassing visits to prisons and homes. You will manage data concerning the beneficiaries and coordinate with external agencies.
All roles necessitate the ability to use initiative and manage tasks in a demanding setting. Knowledge of the justice system, substance misuse problems, homelessness, and the diverse challenges faced by ex-prisoners is crucial. Familiarity with services in the South Lanarkshire region would be advantageous. Experience in the justice sector and collaborative work is preferable. The successful candidates should be adaptable, proactive, empathetic, and self-assured in aiding service users.
We welcome applications from individuals in recovery or with personal experience in the Justice System. At Sacro, we recognize the value of individuals with personal experience in supporting others.
Social Care experience would be advantageous. While a relevant SVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent is desired, it is not mandatory as training will be provided. Membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) is mandatory for this role, along with satisfactory references.
This role includes Saturday responsibilities and may at times extend beyond regular working hours; readiness to commit to this is essential.
A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle with appropriate business coverage are necessary.
