Responsibilities & AccountabilitiesnEnsure a robust trading control environment, adherence to policies, and adequacy of resources and skill sets.nLead or support systems related to exposure management and management information (MI) within the control function.nManage and lead the Trade Control team for Global Trade Control activities.nOversee trade control systems, including Allegro, Horizon, and FEA.nEnsure timely settlement of paper trading activities and accurate allocation of profits to the correct profit centres.nSupervise daily, weekly, and monthly trading exposure, profit & loss reporting, and KPI calculation, ensuring reporting deadlines are met.nReconcile management information to financial accounts and address any issues that arise.nEstablish new exposure management or entrepreneurial trading books as necessary.nSupport new business activities by covering trade control aspects in the assurance process and providing project resources for new trade control processes.nConduct risk analysis for new trading strategies, trading limits, neutral stocks, and other business risk assessments.nProvide leadership within the Mid Office team and manage resource requirements.nServe as the focal point between office functions and offer technical and commercial knowledge to support other business areas when needed.nSkills & Knowledge RequirednEducation/ExperiencenDegree in Finance, STEM, or a related field.nProven experience in trading or control/risk management.nPreferably, previous team leader experience.nUnderstanding of the commodities trading industry, including markets, products, and exchanges.nDemonstrated experience in compliance and assurance.nKnowledge of accounting principles and procedures (e.g., accrual and mark-to-market).nExperience in control and assurance processes.nBehavioural SkillsnAbility to constructively challenge sensitive issues while maintaining strong working relationships.nProactively identify and communicate potential issues to appropriate teams or stakeholders, ensuring follow-up and resolution.nAdaptable and collaborative team player.nHigh energy levels and hands-on approach.nHighly driven, determined, and able to meet tight deadlines.nExcellent interpersonal skills for interacting with both executive and technical contacts.nStrong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.nCritical and strategic thinker.
