Do you enjoy working with children and are you full of ideas on activities they could do?


Our city centre Afterschool Club is looking for a Senior Playworker to help us care for primary age children 1.30pm -6.30pm.

mon-thurs and 12-6pm on fridays.


We need someone organised, sensible and energetic to support our Manager in delivering care and activities for children at local schools.


Duties include setting up the room for activities, planning communications with parents and discussing children's needs, preparingsnacks each day, helping collect children from school, keeping routine daily paperwork, and planning and delivering simple activities and games for the children to do (mostly in age range 5-8 yrs).

We have a lovely sunny garden and playrooms and the park round the corner to enjoy.


We are outside whenever we get the chance, and we need someone who is fit and active and can help set out play equipment and help clean up at the end of the session.


Formal qualifications are less important than energy and willingness to deliver good care and fun for the children, and someone who is pro-active.

We can help you progress or start your childcare career and are a supportive management team looking for someone who will enjoy an active job with children that is demanding and fun.

You will also have to do some basic online training for which we pay, and we will arrange and pay for your Disclosure check and the Scottish Social Services Registration

Part-time hours: 28 per week

Salary:
£11.50 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends

  • Edinburgh: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
