Duties:

  • Work with the Head of Teaching to prepare for a British Council Accreditation Inspection

This includes:

  • Gather and prepare inspection documentation.
  • Evaluate current practices for compliance and suggest improvements where necessary.
  • Comply with all demands of the inspection as required.
  • Work with the Head of Teaching to design and deliver a Continual Professional Development (CPD) programme for teaching staff.
  • Conduct periodic observations of teaching staff.
  • Review and update teaching resources.
  • Understand and adhere to the code of conduct as laid out in the Staff Handbook.
  • Any other duties as required by the Director of the English Experience.

Qualifications and experience

  • Essential:_
  • TEFLQ Diploma (_e.g. DELTA, PGCE, MA/MSc in ELT/TESOL etc. Please refer to Accreditation UK guidance if unsure_).
  • Experience in ELT Management.
  • Minimum CEFR C1 level English proficiency.
  • The right to work in the UK.
  • Desirable:_
  • Experience with and/or knowledge of British Council inspections.
  • Experience in developing ELT resources for young learners (aged
  • 2+ years experience teaching young learners (aged

Skills, knowledge, and understanding

  • Essential:_
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • High level of competency in IT, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Desirable:_
  • Driving licence and access to own vehicle

  • Ability to work well independently without close supervision, as part of a team with a shared goal
