The opportunity
We have a brand-new opportunity for a Trainee Claims Handler to join our growing team here in Guiseley.
Reporting to our Group Claims Manager, this is a key role that will be responsible for supporting the administration of insurance claims made by clients and help us to provide excellent customer service in line with FCA and Company guidelines.
Key areas of responsibility include
- Supporting with the administration of all classes of commercial and personal lines claims
- Supporting the Claims Handlers with the case management of claims including but not limited to Household, Travel, Motor, Public Professional, Employer Liability, GIT, and Directors & Officers liability
- Creating new claims files upon notification of a new claim and record it accurately using IT software
- Helping the business to ensure that claims are processed quickly and correctly, working on behalf of the client/customer and liaising with Insurers as appropriate
- Ensuring all business activity fully complies with FCA regulation and company procedures as detailed in the Conduct Polices and Guides to Best Practice
