Digital Communications Officer


This is a fantastic opportunity for a Digital Communications Officer to support in producing the charity's website and social media content to engage target audiences.


You will have day-to-day oversight of the website, ensuring web pages are current and working with the Digital Marketing Officer on SEO strategy, planning digital campaigns.

Salary:
£28,000 per annum, competitive holiday + pension

The Role
The Digital Communications Officer will create and coordinate engaging content across the organisations owned channels to target audiences.

As a member of the Digital Communications team, you will:

  • Support with content creation for external digital platforms such as partners 'websites
  • Support the fundraising and communications team to manage audiovisual content resources.
  • Draft case studies, with content provided by the Operations team and contentgathering visits.
  • Create engaging written content and assets to engage and inspire target audiences.
  • Support on asset design for digital platforms.
  • Create and promote communications materials for target audiences.
  • Grow their profile and following on social media channels.
  • Develop engaging content that works for all users, platforms, and SEO.
  • Work to evolve their digital content on an ongoing basis, incorporating good UX design wherever possible in content generation.
  • Work with the Fundraising Officer (retention) work with the fundraising officer to generate mutually beneficial content ideas.
  • Work with the Digital Marketing Officer to ensure data and insight drives communications activity.

About You
As Digital Communications Officer, you will have a track record in communications and producing content for target audiences.

You will also have the following knowledge, experience, and skills:

  • Demonstrable experience in effective storytelling and experience working with others to produce inspiring content.
  • Proven ability to write and edit highly engaging content for different audiences across communications platforms.
  • Demonstrable basic design skills including competency in Canva or similar.
  • Experience in SEO and writing for web.
  • Experience in monitoring website performance using Google tools.
  • Proven ability to write and edit highly engaging content for different audiences across online communications.
  • Experience in using social media channels to promote brand awareness and increase following.
  • Experience in overseeing monitoring, evaluation & learning for digital platforms.
  • Experience in using data from Google tools and social media to improve communications.
  • Experience in sharing communications data and insight across teams.
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically.
