Duties:

  • Assist with the construction and maintenance of outdoor structures, such as sheds, fences, and decks
  • Hygiene and Safety of the Yard/Warehouse/Storage areas onsite.
  • Effective communication with Transport Department regarding the receiving and dispatch of all equipment, machinery & materials.
  • Ensuring that all equipment due to leave the site for operational use are clean and checked prior to leaving.
  • Ensuring that all equipment & machinery are stored and controlled correctly and that they are prepared for operational use.
  • Placing orders and managing deliveries for site materials to the yard and sites.
  • Assisting in the loading/unloading of materials & equipment onto and off vehicle deliveries ensuring safe working practices are adhered to and keeping yard traffic moving.
  • Assisting in the refuelling of all machinery returned via the transport dept.
  • Ensuring customers are directed to safe parking/loading at all times
. Operate power tools and equipment to complete assigned tasks

  • Prepare and level the ground for landscaping projects
  • Plant and maintain gardens, including watering, weeding, and fertilizing
  • Trim trees and shrubs to ensure a neat and tidy appearance
  • Clean and organize the yard and storage areas

Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of construction techniques and tools
  • Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively
  • Strong attention to detail for precise measurements and cuts
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
  • Good communication skills to work effectively with team members
