Promotions often occur in as short a time frame as 12 months.Customer success as a formalised role has never previously been hired for externally but a recent company restructure has meant that rather than having generalist analysts who can talk to clients, present results do a bit of everything, the organisation structure has split across 4 specialist functions: data/analytics/customer success/operations.
So, customer success is a new practice area and dedicated function that has 9 heads.The customer success team are the conduit between the analytics team and the client, understanding client requirements, translating those to the analytics team and supporting in the best possible way to make it a seamless process, offering new or different solutions where appropriate.
This is not at all hands-on with data or modelling but will be expected to interpret data and create insightful presentations on the back of the analysts' work, e.g.
