We are recruiting for a

Quality Controller to join our client based in Stanford le Hope. This is a great opportunity to join a great team in a well-established local company.


The main job purpose is to ensure all produce dispatched from the client meets customer requirements of safety, quality, and legality.


Job Purpose:

  • To ensure products meet colour & temperature specification on the day of delivery
  • To ensure all product packaging and detail meets or exceeds the customer's and legal standards.
  • Maintain an understanding of each customers labelling and packaging specifications.
  • Ensure accuracy of date coding, barcoding and all other pack and box end labels information is correct.
  • Ensure that the correct packaging is being used as per customer requirements.
  • Responsible for goods in quality checks
  • To ensure any concerns are communicated back to members of staff and the General Manager
  • To work safely and report any hazards or near misses to the line Shift Supervisor
  • To work efficiently and effectively ensuring that you contribute to the daily Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) of the department as set by the Quality Control Manager and the needs of the business.
  • To maintain high levels of health, safety, hygiene, and housekeeping
  • To clearly communicate between all colleagues in your team and your Line Managers in a timely manner.
  • To use all equipment in a correct and safe manner

Job Requirements:

  • Warehouse based position
  • Understanding and basic knowledge of computer skills and proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Requirement to work additional shifts to cover for holidays & sickness.
  • Flexibility is expected during peak periods e.g. Christmas, Valentine's Day, Mothers' Day, Easter etc.
  • Working to strict deadlines in a timecritical environment
  • Working in a cold environment for extended periods of time
  • Work involves lifting boxes up and down from the height of a stack of product in excess of two metres.

Job Type:
Full Time Hours (11 hours a day, 1 hour lunch. Total 44 Hours)

Hours: 07:00 to 19:00, 4 days on 4 days off shift (may include the

weekends)

Salary:
£12.00 Per Hour
