Position Summary:

Responsible for establishing and maintaining a corporate wide information security program to ensure that information assets are adequately protected. Creating processes for identifying, evaluating and reporting on information security risks in a manner that meets compliance and regulatory requirements, and aligns with and supports the risk posture of the enterprise. Responsibility to assist the delivery of secure systems and implement proportionate controls by working with the business, IT teams, 3rd party vendors and partners. Managing a team of analysts who are responsible for defining and embedding best practice information security policies, standards and processes based on ISO , NIST Cyber security framework, Cyber essentials, CIS and GDPR.

Our Ideal Person:

Have a deep understanding of various technical concepts such as networking, cryptography, vulnerability assessment, and penetration testing. Analytical mindset and be efficient in analysing complex information security issues and devise effective solutions to mitigate risks. Be able to think strategically and develop security plans and policies that align with the overall business objectives of the organisation. Have exceptional communication skills to explain complex technical issues in simple terms to non-technical stakeholders and must be able to clearly articulate the risks and impacts of security incidents via different methods. Strong leadership skills to lead and manage a team of security professionals. Will have a strong understanding of business operations, goals, and objectives to develop and implement effective security solutions that align with the organisation's goals. Will identify, assess, and mitigate risks effectively to ensure the security of the organisation's information assets. Excellent attention to detail. Be able to work collaboratively with different departments within the organisation to develop and implement effective security solutions. Be committed to continuous learning to stay up to date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in information security.

In this role, you will:

Develop and implement security policies, controls, procedures, and guidelines to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the organisation's data and information assets. Conduct risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and threats to the organisation's information systems. Design and manage information security and risk management awareness training programs for all employees, contractors, and approved system users. Provide strategic risk guidance for IT projects, including the evaluation and recommendation of technical controls. Coordinate and oversee external audits with third parties and partners to ensure the security of information assets and systems aligns with our agreed standards. Manage incident response and investigations in the event of security breaches. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest security threats, technologies, and best practices. Collaborate with other departments, such as IT and legal, to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Develop and maintain relationships with external security experts, vendors, and partners. Lead the Information Security Team, ensuring staff development and discipline and that departmental activities align with security standards. 4. Champion the company's values, referred to as 'Our Approach to Business', in all security-related activities.
