This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 2 Nursing Assistant to join our established All Age Liaison Mental Health Team working with patients presenting to our Emergency Departments or who are inpatients on the general hospital wards, pending mental health assessments or admissions.

Providing support for patients pending assessment in the Emergency Department or admission to the inpatient psychiatric units.

Main duties include maintaining the dignity and care of patients whilst in the department and undertaking observations with the support of the Qualified Mental Health Professionals.

Providing support to the other Registered Practitioners on duty.


The Liaison Mental Health Team are proud to provide high quality care to patients who are referred to our service.

The Liaison MH team is a friendly and supportive multi-disciplinary team who pride themselves on offering quality care to people presenting to their department.


The post holder will play a vital role in delivering care to the individual presenting in the Emergency Department and will have direct patient contact.

The role of the Nursing Assistant is broad and varied.

Working amongst a wider team of professionals enables individuals to learn from one another and contribute to providing high levels of care.
