My client has a fantastic opportunity fora Freetrade Sales Manager to support the business in the achievement of budgeted company profit target, by taking full accountability for the Freetrade sales budget, ensuring the Freetrade sales team are equippedto deliver and exceed sales and cash margin targets, and the management and developing the key accounts on your ledger.


Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of fieldbased Business Development Managers and the Field sales Manager
  • Support and coach to drive service excellence in line with the Company's vision
  • Recruit, train and develop the team for both for new positions and succession planning
  • Develop a diverse, inclusive, solutionsoriented, and customer service focussed culture
  • Listen to and share employee, customer, and stakeholder feedback
  • Review ideas and actions to improve employee engagement and work with the field sales manager to deliver your action plan and improve engagement survey results
  • Develop innovative ways to improve company performance and employee engagement
  • Develop, drive, and effectively communicate the company strategy and vision
  • Proactively challenge the status quo, encouraging continuous improvement achieving goals
  • Achieve sales and margin targets based on commercial plan, win & retain profitable new business
  • Support new business growth by coaching, and working with Business Dev/Field sales Managers
  • Keep & develop existing customer numbers to achieve agreed standards
  • Drive company campaigns and support agreed focus to meet customer and company targets
  • Work with Telesales & Operations to ensure compliance, retention & delivery of campaigns
  • Coach, Support & develop the team by both coaching in the field & classroom training delivery
  • Provide feedback/development plans with BDM's ensuring Team are managing journey plans
  • Manage team performance through use of Personal Development Plans & KPI Management
  • Help BDM's to identify opportunities for growth through M.I. & new business activity
  • Take ownership of Food development days customer visits and campaigns
  • Ensure the effective management of all territories at all times
  • Effectively manage relationships and pricing related to allocated consortia accounts
  • Deliver reports, insights and develop action plans in relation to sales results, trends, margin improvement, opportunities, category development, and pipeline to present and discuss with the Sales & Marketing Director

Skills and experience

  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales and margin targets for a regional area, ideally gained in a Foodservice or other OOH market.
  • Customer Service Focus, Excellent relationship building, stakeholder management, and influencing skills
  • Actionoriented individual, resultsdriven, solutions focussed, able to manage multiple priorities
  • Sound commercial awareness
  • Experience managing people in employee lifecycle, coaching & mentoring teambuilding skills
  • Experience managing budgets effectively, including cost management
  • A good team player, with good problemsolving skills and the ability to ensure team achieve set targets
  • Experience working within the foodservice sector, product knowledge and awareness
  • Full Driving Licence
