Job Title:
Functional Skills Maths Tutor

Location:
Rugby - Centre based

Salary:
up to £33,000 (some flexibility DOE)

Type:
Full-time, Permanent

Duties:

  • Deliver Functional Skills Maths (up to Level 2) within a classroom environment.
  • Utilise existing delivery resources, as well as preparing own when required.
  • Deliver engaging training sessions and provide ongoing IAG to learners.
  • Assist learners in identifying the skills required to progress towards their career aspirations.
  • Promote Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding and Health and Safety.

Essential Criteria:

  • Must hold a recognised Teaching qualification at Level 3 or above.
  • Must have experience of delivering GCSE / Functional Skills Maths.
  • Must have experience/confidence to deliver training and workshops to groups of learners.
  • Hold a Maths level 3 or equivalent.
Demonstrable energy and passion to motivate and train clients.

  • Ability to overcome challenges and support learners to progress.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate confidence, tenacity and ability to work on own initiative.
