Role Responsibilities:


The Public Sector Senior Marketing Manager will develop and own the strategic marketing plan for PaySuite's public sector business working with sales, product and other marketing teams to deliver against pipeline, order and revenue targets.

The role will drive the development and execution of key marketing programmes that will grow incremental revenue for the business both within our existing customer base and new business.

You will craft compelling messaging and content for our Public Sector growth segments and develop strong propositions.

Understanding of wider market trends, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into compelling customer benefits are crucial.

In your role you will be an expert in our target audience, their buying behaviour and their buying criteria and will transfer that knowledge to the lead generation and sales teams or channel.


Day-to-day, you will:

  • Strategic go to market planning – work with the Marketing, Product Management team and Sales colleagues to define the market opportunity and design the optimum go to market approach for each Public Sector segment.
  • Support the development of Public Sector cross product propositions, positioning and messaging for target personas which create competitive advantage in their market.
  • Gain in-depth understanding of the buying process and the buyer DNA in order to execute relevant sales enablement and nurture programmes that improve conversion rates.
  • Build collaborative relationships with your key internal stakeholders through frequent, consistent and effective interaction. Act as the trusted, go-to-person for Public Sector marketing.
  • Leverage your sector knowledge and expertise to create sector specific tailored content to build our credibility and showcase expertise. Work with Marketing colleagues to execute multi-channel campaigns including events.
  • Develop programmes to engage our Public Sector customer base to drive customer satisfaction, cross sell and advocacy including customer forums, nurture and networking programmes.
  • Work with partners, sharing marketing plans, leveraging appropriate content and running joint campaigns towards agreed objectives.
  • Prepare detailed campaign and data plans and reports, presenting them with confidence and clarity.

Performance management and analytics:

Continually track, measure, analyse and report on effectiveness of marketing programmes and impact on pipeline, orders and revenue for multiple stakeholders, making recommendations for future programs and investments, reporting on results vs targets; optimising plans through test, and adopting new or best practice approaches.


Your skills and experiences might also include:

  • Proven B2B Marketing experience preferably in the public sector, payments, merchant acquiring, card processing.
  • Experience of or demonstrable understanding of creating compelling Marketing propositions and translating these into engaging Sales enablement programmes.
  • Have demonstrable and excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to understand and translate technical information into customer outcomes.
  • Demonstrated self-starter with an ability to manage and motivate other team members.
  • Excellent people skills to interact with staff, colleagues, customers and cross-functional teams, and third parties.
  • Comfortable managing multiple tactical projects with tight deadlines and supporting big strategic projects with challenging or short deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience of implementing successful marketing programmes and lead generation campaigns using a wide variety of media and mediums.
  • Adaptable and flexible and thrive in an agile and dynamic environment with strong project management skills.
  • Demonstrable ability to balance high quality thinking, resolving issues and blockages while at the same time delivering and executing.
