Position Overview:

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Technical Specialist to join their team, focusing on lubrication and asset reliability for manufacturing sites. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing and implementing lubrication strategies, conducting reliability assessments, and optimising maintenance practices to ensure the smooth operation of critical machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute lubrication programs tailored to the specific needs of manufacturing sites, including equipment lubrication schedules, product selection, and oil analysis protocols.
  • Conduct reliability assessments and root cause analyses to identify opportunities for improving equipment performance, uptime, and lifespan.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to implement predictive maintenance techniques and reliability-centred maintenance (RCM) strategies, leveraging data-driven insights to prioritise maintenance activities.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to onsite personnel regarding lubrication best practices, equipment troubleshooting, and safety protocols.
  • Monitor lubricant usage, inventory levels, and procurement processes to ensure optimal supply chain management and cost efficiency.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to lubrication, asset reliability, and safety compliance.

Requirements:

  • Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree or certifications in lubrication management, reliability engineering, or asset management are a plus.
  • Proven experience in maintenance, reliability engineering, or lubrication management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing lubrication programs, conducting reliability assessments, and utilizing predictive maintenance techniques.
  • Proficiency in lubrication analysis tools, computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), and relevant software applications.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, diagnose equipment issues, and develop effective solutions.
