Residential Children's Practitioner Level - Short Breaks

Aylsham Road Children's Home provides short breaks for young people aged between years, when either family or foster care is at risk of breaking down.

Our services are well regarded, and we are proud of our reputation of ensuring the best outcomes for children and young people, supporting them to prevent them from coming into care and remain living at home.

We value your life experiences, energy, personal strength and positive mental attitude.

Staff at the home will be expected to contribute to an assessment of the child's needs with the objective of keeping young people within their own home and ensuring that they receive short breaks that are fun and enjoyable.

Ideally you will have a background in residential care or be experienced in working with children and hold the level 3/4 diploma in residential care.

You will be required to have good levels of literacy and numeracy.

To work within this environment you will need to be committed to making a difference in the lives of young people.

You will need to be reliable, have good personal relationship and communication skills as well as high professional standards.
