Our client is well established and family run. They are currently looking to recruit a positive and friendly Credit Controller with a 'can do' attitude. Reporting into the Head of Finance, you will be working full time, 371⁄2 hours per week.

To be successfulin this Credit Controller role, you will ideally be experienced, have an analytical and problem solver mind-set and excellent organisation and time management skills.

The Credit Controller role requires a customer service attitude and the ability to clearlyarticulate information

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Effectively reviewing, managing, and collecting monies owing from customer accounts
  • Keep bad debts, write off and debt turn to a minimum but maintain the customer relationships and organisation reputation
  • Obtaining trade references and undertaking credit checks to determine creditworthiness
  • Help set appropriate terms and credit limits
  • Building and maintaining good relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Resolving invoice and payment queries promptly and efficiently
  • Reconciling c500 credit customer ledgers
  • Resolving discrepancies
  • Producing and distributing customer statements of account etc

Skills and Experience

  • A background working in credit control
  • Strong IT skills; Microsoft Office and accounting software
  • As this is a small and friendly team, being a teamplayer is key, as well as being a good communicator and able to use your own initiative and challenge information or data

Salary and Benefits:

  • A salary of circa £28,000 per annum
