Shunter

We are currently recruiting for a
Shunter to be based from
Victoria Coach Station. In this role you will proactively keep the fleet of vehicles cleaned on a daily basis with a deep clean on a monthly basis.

• Clean vehicles to comply with National Express standards and ensure that all records are maintained correctly
• Refuel all vehicles in readiness for the next days' service
• Carry out daily sweep and mopping of all vehicles with deep interior cleans occasionally
• Fully understand and comply with all company and statutory relating to hours of work, health & safety and working practices
• Ensure workshops and offices are kept clean and accident free and help with general housekeeping duties
• Participate in additional adhoc duties upon request from management
• Drive and position company vehicles where required including for the purpose of accompanying colleagues and to attend repair and servicing facilities
• Ensure all documents are completed and maintained to National Express & quality procedures and standards

• Numerate & literate
• Experience of working as part of a team and independently.
• A proactive 'want to help' attitude.
• Previous and proven coach driving experience would be beneficial
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Excellent people and communication skills with the ability to deal with people effectively and with ease.
• Experience within the bus/coach industry desirable but not essential
• Minor engineering activities such as oil, screen wash, jump starts etc
