Software Technical Lead

Our client is a leading engineering and maintenance provider, supporting customers across various markets. They optimize asset efficiency, ensuring high availability and reducing maintenance costs. They are seeking a Software Technical Lead to offer technical support and guidance to the Software Engineering Team, ensuring smooth project progress according to the agreed program.



Main Responsibilities:
  • Overall technical and engineering Software Team leadership
  • Collaborating with the Software Project Manager in all technical delivery and scope management aspects
  • Leading technical and quality requirements for the Software Team
  • Providing technical support during integrated system testing, CFAT and SAT
  • Reviewing project team documents
  • Ensuring project compliance with company quality processes and procedures
  • Developing detailed task and procurement lists and providing leadership
  • Monitoring Software Team activities progress
  • Identifying project opportunities and variations
  • Managing risks and issues with the Project Manager
  • Assisting in project delivery strategy development and planning
  • Notifying Project Manager of any deviations from agreed functionality or scope
  • Planning and supporting training
  • Mentoring Engineers
  • Demonstrating Health and Safety leadership by example

Experience & Qualifications:
  • Strong experience in system specification, design, development, and testing
  • In-depth knowledge of Siemens S7 PLC's and WinCC SCADA systems
  • Leading teams with a focus on program adherence
  • Understanding of control panels, electrical installation, and Instrumentation solutions
  • Degree or HND/HNC in Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Control Systems, or related discipline

Desirable:
  • Mentoring new or developing engineers
  • DCS, Drives, Plant Historians, MES, Industry 4.0, IT/OT Convergence
  • Network design and configuration, Cyber Security, Functional Safety
  • Database implementation, Energy Efficiency, OEE, Industrial Protocol Knowledge
  • Bespoke code development, TIA Portal PLC programming
