A global company are looking for an
AWS DevOps Engineer to run with a variety of projects and look for new and innovative way to work within the cloud transformation process.

You will create a link between operations and development throughimproving, automating, and developing the cloud platform using modern containerisations and IaC technologies.


What will I be working with?

  • AWS
  • Terraform
  • Ansible
  • Powershell
  • Kubernetes/ Docker
  • Linux and Windows operating Systems


IaC
  • Scripting, Configuration Management, Provisioning Tools


CI/CD Tools
  • Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Octopus Deploy, Github
  • Both Cloud and On Prem environments

What will I be doing?

  • Providing technical guidance on new projects
  • Strategic decision making on use of new and emerging technologies
  • Continuously looking for ways to make processes more efficient through automating manual processes
  • Being a point of technical escalation for more junior members of the team
  • Work on improvements to existing infrastructure and taking ownership of projects
  • Focus on availability and performance of key services through automation
  • Roll out of key features and installations
  • Design and planning of AWS cloud solutions

What is the training and progression like?
There is the opportunity for both internal and external training. This include gaining certifications and upskilling in new and emerging technologies. Within your progression path, your manager will identify skills gaps and ensure training is provided inthis area.

Progression in this company is endless as they are ever growing.

There is opportunity to work more with Kubernetes this year, giving you the chance to become an SME in this area.

OR if leadership is more your interest, get involved with mentoring and communicatingwith senior leaders.
