Job Description

This presents a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate to join a renowned Asset Manager in the Counterparty Onboarding Team. You will gain valuable insights into the day-to-day operations of an investment firm within the operations team.

The team's primary role is to support LGIM's trading and investment activities by onboarding brokers across various asset classes and markets. Additionally, they assist client and product teams in onboarding new funds ahead of launch. We seek a candidate eager to explore the diverse aspects of onboarding.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting LGIM's trading and investment activities by ensuring all required brokers and funds are set up across relevant instruments and markets to facilitate trading and investment activities.
  • Collaborating with Custodians to open custody accounts in emerging and frontier markets while maintaining necessary documentation.
  • Meeting strict deadlines to aid in team fund launches.
  • Providing efficient support to key stakeholders and keeping them informed on setup statuses.
  • Engaging in other facets of the OTC/broker operational onboarding process as needed.
  • Cultivating strong relationships with the internal legal team and external counterparties, regularly reviewing outstanding issues to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Adhering to existing procedures, controls, and checklists.
  • Contributing to projects alongside business as usual (BAU) activities to meet team or organization targets.

Qualifications

  • A 2.1 Degree in any subject, accepting applicants from diverse academic backgrounds.
  • An aptitude for analysis and numeracy.

  • Flexibility and teamwork abilities.
  • High energy, dynamism, and dedication.
  • Proficiency in essential IT tools like Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Organizational skills with effective prioritization.
