An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, credible, senior leader with a passion for improving the cleanliness of our estate and vehicles to join East Midlands Ambulance Service as our new Head of Cleaning Services.
You will play a key professional leadership role within the Trust as part of a multi-disciplinary team.You will work as part of the Operational Division with Heads of Operations, Station Managers, Estates, Vehicle Decontamination Teams, Waste & Sustainability Manager, Infection Prevention and Control and Education and Training to ensure the Trust is able to maintain safe and clean environments for our patients and our staff.
You will lead the development and implementation of the Trust's Cleaning and Decontamination Strategy which will involve both internal and external engagement with stakeholders and oversight of projects and specification developments relating to our fixed sites, vehicles and linen management.
You will work closely with the Infection Prevention and Control Team ensuring prompt resolution of issues and appropriate response to outbreaks.
You will work as an expert in your field embedding robust quality and governance processes relating to cleanliness and decontamination.
You will provide assurance to the Trust Board that the Trust meets with national cleaning requirements, and you will represent the Trust at appropriate fora within the regional Integrated Care Systems (ICS).
You will be educated to degree level or be able to evidence practice at this level with a relevant cleaning principles qualification e.g.
Ideally you will be a qualified full member of a professional building/FM related discipline e.g RICS, RIBA, CIBSE, ICE and IWFM or have a willingness to work towards.
You will have demonstrable recent experience in relevant specialist area in an NHS or health care organisation (at minimum agenda for change band 7 or equivalent) and proven leadership experience, creating collaborative and effective partnerships.
You will have excellent communication skills and be able to motivate and inspire teams and build effective partnerships both internally and externally.
