  • What Is the Opportunity?
  • Travelers Syndicate 5000 provide highly specialised insurance solutions for clients throughout the world and in a wide variety of industry sectors.


We are looking for an Syndicate Operations Associate to join our team in London, to help provide a high standard of operational support to our Underwriters and other areas of the business.


You will preferably have some previous Underwriting Operations experience to help you support our Underwriters with their renewal portfolio, collaborate with catastrophe risk modelling and other departments and ensuring administrative tasks are accurately completed.


Travelers Europe currently offers flexibility to employees who wish to work on a hybrid basis in accordance with our Hybrid Work Arrangements Policy.

This entails full time employees working three days a week in the office and two days at home (or pro rata for part-time employees).

This policy may be changed at the Company's discretion.

What Will You Do?


The following key activities form a core part of your role;- Complete Front Sheets in preparation for Risk Entry and preparation of Null Decs in advance of offshore entry.- Assist with the completion of reports for GAAP, RDS, Pre Integrity and Housekeeping, LEMP meetings, BRP meetings.

The report need to adhere to statutory and regulatory internal and external reporting deadlines.- Work towards dummy and actual month end close and aggregate 'Roll Up,' ensuring all signings and aggregate entries are completed.

Any issues should be referred to a manager.- Responsible for ECOPY and external inbox management and triage.- Support the delivery of training to the Offshore team and support the completion of any updates required for the Standard Operating Procedures.- Respond to queries from offshore operations in a timely fashion.- Produce Debit and Credit Notes, Schedules and Insurance Documents.- Process endorsements in Underwriting System and Aggregate management System.- You will need to achieve or exceed agreed timeliness and accuracy service level agreements within the Syndicate as outlined within the European Operation's Service Agreement document.

To be successful, you will need to consistently deliver a great experience in every customer contact; connect with the right partners internally to find creative solutions to problems; be a role model; and consistently deliver on your commitments.- Preferably you will have previous experience in the insurance industry and be studying towards your Certificate CII.- You are detail focused and able to maintain a high degree of accuracy in your work. You will likely be highly motivated and can work independently but are also comfortable working in a team environment.- You should have a good degree of numeracy to be able to understand and work with numbers.

What is a Must Have?- You will have been educated to GCSE level standard or equivalent.
