We are currently looking for a Handy person to join our team on a permanent basis. The position is based in Middlesex and offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills and contribute to our team.

As an experienced Handy person, you will have the responsibility of carrying out a variety of tasks, including:

• Stripping out and making good rooms
• Performing minor repairs to walls such as filling and decoration
• Window/door repairs like replacing locks, handles, closers, stops, handles, and retainers
• Carpet/vinyl repairs
• Wall fixings including shelving, clocks, blinds, and fixture hanging
• Basic plumbing tasks such as unblocking sinks and toilets, installing taps and fittings, and tiling/grouting
• Conducting furniture repairs, assembly, and moves
• Providing solutions to any issues that may arise
• Addressing urgent health and safety hazards and ensuring safety
• Keeping a site radio on hand at all times and responding promptly to calls for assistance
• Performing routine inspections of the campus and reporting any hazards or maintenance issues to the Estates team
• Supervising maintenance contractors on college campuses in collaboration with the Estates team
• Conducting weekly fire alarm tests

This full-time position requires 36 hours a week and a valid driver's license. The salary ranges from £29,672 to £31,538 per annum.
