Facilities Coordinator, SOCOTEC, Coventry

To support our ambitious growth plans, we have a great opportunity to join our growing operations in out Coventry Hub. Coventry is one of the key locations that SOCOTEC UK operates from with Lab and Site Operations being based from there.

The role of Facilities Coordinator will be the central point for the Coventry Hub. They will:
  • Manage Coventry facility on a day-to-day perspective (alongside the core SOCOTEC UK facilities team). This includes management of car park, lawn and hedgerows
  • Organise basic maintenance, cleaning of facilities and cleaning contractor, site access, meeting room availability, lunch/meeting refreshments, lunch supplier
  • Manage Coventry Reception kitchen, Coventry Reception coffee area and canteen tea / coffee facilities
  • Alignment with HSE activities and compliance (regular audits, fire inspections and drills, legionella monitoring, site security, waste management for communal areas, first aid cover across the building)
  • Management of in-bound and out-bound deliveries, logging in of post
  • Supporting the Operations Managers with team logistics / planning
  • Manage the phone system and incoming call direction, messaging service
  • Manage visitors (e.g. sign-in, lanyards, safety briefing).
  • Manage maintenance contractors (procurement, RAMS, site access, segregation of workforce, sign off of completed works etc.)
  • Support for the other central UK hub (Doncaster) facility management
In order to be successful in the role the successful applicant will have:
  • Experience of facilities co-ordination of an Infrastructure related Operations premises
  • Understanding and experience of key HSE activities and principles
  • Experience with customer calls / handling / first point of contact on a call
  • Ability and experience of maintenance planning activities and management of sub-contractor scope execution
