JOB TITLE: Head of Compliance

COMPANY: Financial Services Company

My client, a wonderful business, is currently looking for a Head of Compliance linked to banking and financial services. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for full compliance and risk monitoring across the business. To excel in this role, you must possess the following skills:

  • Strong expertise in FCA regulations to attain accreditation as an "API" (Authorized Payment Institution)
  • Manage the application process and maintain the FCA relationship post approval
  • Demonstrated experience in MLRO responsibilities
  • In-depth API and FCA processing knowledge related to compliance within the financial services sector

The role is office-based and requires proximity to the company. They provide free parking, making it a great opportunity. Ability to assimilate information and produce concise reports for senior management is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a Risk Management Framework ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Act as the Money Laundering Reporting Officer and support in FCA applications
  • Establish compliance screening programs for insight into suspicious activity
  • Perform continuous risk assessments to mitigate financial crime risks
  • Conduct compliance audits and implement internal controls
  • Offer compliance and AML guidance to the senior management team
  • Ensure all employees understand compliance and AML requirements
  • Manage compliance and AML training programs
