We are recruiting for an energetic warehouse assistant.

Warehouse assistant will control the flow of stock through a warehouse, monitoring goods in and out, safely and efficiently moving and handling items and keeping stock records.

The hours of work will be 9:00am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday. You will be working from our Trakman site based at Garret Green Lane,B33 0UE.

Goods In:

  • Loading and unloading goods from delivery vans or lorries
  • Checking that the correct quantity and type of goods have been received
  • Recording any damaged, missing or faulty goods
  • Signing the delivery form, once satisfied that goods are complete
  • Allocating storage space to goods
  • Relocating and restacking goods to make space for new deliveries
Good Out

  • Picking goods that have been ordered
  • Keeping records of the picks
  • Prepare parcels and pallets for shipments
  • Moving and stacking goods ready for delivery

What we are looking for:

  • The role will be in a fast paced environment, working in a team and reporting to Warehouse Managers
  • Basic numeracy skills required
  • Self motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Someone who can be relied upon to report in daily and be on time
  • Willingness to help in other departments where need arises

Job Duties:

  • Load and unload lorries in a safe and efficient manner
  • Move and stack materials
  • General housekeeping in the warehouse
  • Perform general warehouse duties in order to maintain a smooth operation.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent

Salary:
£10.42 per hour
